Four new stars from Stamann Musikboxen in Germany, 42 Euro ea.
Just pay and be happy that someone sells the stars......
Still I miss the center emblem, If you know where to find one drop me a line...
Follow my restauration of the Rockola 1458 wreck to a beauty..........hopefully!
Finely after three years searching everywhere for the grille Badge, I saw on facebook marketplace that Michael R in US parted out an RO 1...
Dear Gunnar!
ReplyDeleteAre you still there? I stumbled upon your site and wanted to ask you if I may use your photos to put as a descriptive image with a 3D file I made for the Rock-Ola grill stars to 3D print on thingiverse.com. Please let me know and
best regards,
Philipp
I’m still here!
DeleteYes no problem to use my photo!
I use thingivers myself now and then when renovating pinball games!
Have you found any way to get the shiny/glossy gold structure on the stars?
Thank you very much, it will be a good reference next to the 3D printed version, once I have the kinks figured out. I will share the link with you here.
DeleteI have been asked by someone to replicate the grille stars because molding with resin didn't work out well for him. So I decided to remodel and am now trying to print them in Sunlu Silk Gold PLA, which should get the color pretty close. The rest will have to be done by him in post processing.
If the 3D file works I might try printing it in UV resin, so he just has to sand and paint it in the right gold color.
If you want, I'll let you know here!
